What our customer say

Service was extremely professional, explanations highly informative and conversations extremely pleasant. We are experienced travelers and have been to many places. Niyati is certainly one of the best guides we have encountered in the course of our travels and has made a major contribution towards making our days in Gujarat most memorable.

Niyati was a wonderful young and passionate guide for us, 20 university students from Australia. She had an extensive knowledge of culture and history which she was eager to share and answered our many questions thoughtfully. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Soar Excursions!

Our trip to Manali would not have been nearly as enjoyable without them. Their professionalism, connections to locals, and willingness to work around our budget helped us to make an amazing trip at an even more amazing price!

We took a group of 11 people from Australia and spent 5 days in the Little Rann of Kutch with Aditya as our guide. Aditya was a great leader and looked after us very well. Everything was well organised including the camping, trekking and community visits. I’d recommend Soar to any individual or group looking for an exciting and unique experience in India.

We were taken to the Little Rann Sanctuary and witnessed an amazing landscape of white salt lakes, inhabited by a large population of flamingos.  We were taken to many villages along the way and experienced the warmth of these amazing artists carrying on the tradition of textile making and craft. Our Guides took us on an amazing journey, seeing wildlife and culture that an ordinary tourist would never get to experience. Everything was very well organised, the food was amazing and the crew made us feel safe and nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to visiting India again and would definitely contact Soar Excursions next time. Thank you for helping me to see the real India

Thank you for organizing my west India trip. I am very satisfied with Aditya, as well as his driver Babu. I saw all the original targets I sent, plus most of the supplemental ones that I added later. Aditya was very attentive to my needs and want list, and went out of his way to make sure I saw my target birds. In addition he handled problems very well.

The search for Indian Bustard was impressive. We met a local guide, who then contacted other locals on motorcycles who, after several hours, managed to track down these scarce birds. The guide at GRK, Mohammed, was also top notch. In conclusion I would recommend Aditya for anyone who wants to bird in Gujarat.

We have just returned to Canada after an unforgettable tour in Gujarat. This was the first trip to India for all 5 of us and it was wonderful in so many ways. Soar Excursions put together a short tour for us, focusing on both wildlife and culture, which made it very easy for us to see more of Gujarat after having attended a family wedding in Vadodara. Our tour leader Aditya is a fantastic birder, photographer, and guide. We were very impressed with his knowledge of the history and culture of the region that we visited as well as his expertise in locating and identifying birds and other wildlife. Rick, the one serious birder in our group, saw over 140 species and the rest of us learned to recognize many new ones and developed a sincere appreciation for the diversity and beauty of Indian wildlife. We saw Egyptian vultures, flamingos, sarus cranes, Indian coursers, Dalmatian pelicans, wild asses, desert fox, wild boars, langurs, and crocodiles. We were also very pleased with the cultural components of our tour. From visits to historical sites such as the Modhera sun temple and the helical step well to the memorable time spent learning about salt production in the Little Rann of Kutch, watching basket making with a family in a tribal village, and sampling chai made with fresh water buffalo milk on a small farm, we all got so much out of this trip. Everything – food, accommodation, transportation as well as the selection of fascinating places to visit – was looked after for us so well that we could just relax and enjoy the whole experience.

My husband and I just returned from a 3 week birding trip (Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam) arranged by Soar and were thrilled with the experience. I had a goal of seeing 200 new species and because of Soars expert planning and wonderful guiding services the end result was nearly 400 new species! Pavan was an amazingly knowledgeable bird guide – I just can’t say enough about his services! As our constant companion, Pavan helped us in a million little ways that helped make the trip easy and stress free. Soar also contracted with local bird guides to give us the best chances of maximizing our numbers. We highly recommend Soar.
