Cross-Desert Experience

Gujarat has one of the largest and most beautiful desert landscapes in India. The Great and Little Rann of Kutch combine cover over 35,0000 sq.km area with amazing landscapes, colorful communities, and mind-blowing birdlife. Driving off the road through these vast landscapes is something one cannot imagine but only experience. Soar Excursions in the only company in Gujarat, which offers this unique experience. It can be either done in self-drive if you bring your 4X4 or we can provide our vehicle with experienced tour leader.

Best Time to Visit: November to Feb

Suggested Itinerary: 

Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad- Pickup / Meet your Tour leader and Short tour of Ahmedabad old city. Post Lunch Departure for Araavali Hills. – Reach by late afternoon. Night safari / drive in the ravines and hills after dinner. O/n at Araavali Trails

Day 2: Morning visit to villages of Garasia and Bhill tribes. Post lunch departure for Little Rann of Kutch. Enroute visit Step well of Patan and Sun Temple of Modhera. Reach the resort – dinner with folkdance and rest

Day 3:  Post Early breakfast departure for first cross-desert experience across little ran of kutch (Approx 150 km)- Enjoy huge flocks of flamingoes, cranes and other migratory birds, galloping herds of Asiatic Wild Asses and Visit the Salt Pans – Exit the little rann from Adesar – Reach Dholavira by late lunch. Enroute travel through the rawest area of White desert in the Great Rann of Kutch. Check in at Dholavira- evening visit to the largest harappan excavation site and fossil park. – O/n At Dholavira

Day 4: Post breakfast departure for cross desert experience in great rann of kutch – entering near bhachau and come out from lodai village. Reach the hotel in Bhuj and have lunch – Enjoy evening at the old markets of Bhuj.

Day 5: Early morning depart for cross terrain experience in the Banni Grassland and reach Charidhandh wetlands. Visit Haji Pir and reach Nakhatrana by evening. Check in at another hotel- Dinner and Relax

Day 6: Visit Early morning depart for Lakhpat Fort and Naliya Grassland (Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary) . Return to the lodge by Late evening.

Day 7: Post breakfast depart for Ahmedabad- Enroute visit Ajrakhpur and Bhujodi villages. Tour Ends in Ahmedabad
